Fractal Knots

All of the distinct knots through seven crossings are shown below, drawn canonically, along with selected knots with more crossings. The numbers underneath the knots describe them using both Alexander and Briggs notation and Conway notation. In addition, there are some knots that not drawn canonically. These are starting points for iterated knots designed using the second method described in the Introduction. They are simply specified by the number of crossings followed by the letter x. Click on any knot to see at least one iterated knot based on that knot.
